First Kennet School Student to Study Music at Oxford University
We’re delighted to share some wonderful news from Kennet School, our Lead School for Music in West Berkshire.
One of their students, Joe (pictured on the right), has been offered a place to study Music at Oxford University — making him the first Kennet School pupil to go on to study at Oxford. Joe is a classical guitarist and currently has lessons with Berkshire Music Trust.
Grace Rigg, Headteacher at Kennet School, said:
“We are immensely proud of Joe for being offered a place at Oxford University to study Music. This achievement is a testament not only to his exceptional talent and dedication, but also to the value we place on the arts at Kennet School. Music education is a vital part of our school identity, and we are thrilled to support pupils through our Academic Scholars Programme across a wide range of subjects. As the lead school for music in West Berkshire, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of musicians and producers, and we look forward to seeing our A Level numbers in Music and Music Technology continue to grow.”
Huge congratulations to Joe on this fantastic achievement, and we wish him the very best of luck with his studies at Oxford.
