Welcome to Maidenhead Space to Thrive – a musical community partnership led by Berkshire Music Trust and Slough Music Service

Maidenhead Space to Thrive is a vibrant new community music centre at Newlands Girls School, created through a partnership between Berkshire Music Trust and Slough Music Service. This initiative is designed to make music accessible for everyone, offering inclusive and informal opportunities such as community drumming, intergenerational jam sessions, Chill Jam for teens, DJ workshops, and more. Guided by a local steering group and youth event producers, the programme reflects the voices of the community and young people. The centre will also host specialist sessions for children and young adults with SEND, music for mental health projects, monthly global music nights, and a jazz collective—making it a true hub for creativity and connection.
