Luke Coventry

Ranelagh School, Bracknell

Luke is a pianist and organist, having completed his BMus at the University of Surrey and PGCE at the University of Reading. He has taught in three state secondary schools and has been a Curriculum Leader for 9 years.  Luke currently leads the Music Department at Ranelagh School, a Church of England secondary academy in Bracknell. Music is an integral part of the wider life of the school and they have a large extra-curricular programme including choirs and instrumental ensembles.  Luke teaches from KS3 through to A Level (current exam boards are AQA for GCSE and Edexcel for A Level) and has previously been a moderator for the performing component of GCSE performance.

Luke can support secondary school teachers in leading a music department; curriculum design KS3-5; teaching and learning; behaviour management; leading ensembles; and producing concerts and events.

Luke has completed the Foundational Coaching course through the Wellington College Teaching Alliance. He has mentored PGCE students and new staff and is currently a Professional Tutor, mentoring and coaching teaching staff across the school.
