Spotlight Concert
We are excited to introduce Spotlight – our refreshed name for Berkshire Music Trust’s platform concerts. These events celebrate the incredible musical talent of young people in our community, and we warmly invite your child to take part.
A Performance Opportunity for All
Two concerts will take place at West Berkshire Music Centre on Saturday 28th February 2026 at 12.15pm and 2.30pm.
Children are encouraged to perform any style of music they love – from pop and rock to classical, jazz, folk or film music. Whatever they’re passionate about, we want to celebrate it.
Accompanists & Rehearsals
We can provide accompanists where needed and will schedule short rehearsals on the morning of the event. Please send a scan or clear photo of the music in advance.
Accessibility
We want Spotlight to be welcoming and accessible to every young musician.
The venue has step-free access throughout.
Accessible seating is available for performers and audience members.
If your child has any access needs – musical, physical, sensory, or otherwise – please let us know on the form or by contacting us directly. We will do everything we can to support their participation.
Tickets & Dress Code
Entry is free for performers and the audience, with an optional opportunity to make a voluntary donation. Dress code is smart-casual (e.g. non-ripped jeans and a top), but children are welcome to dress up if they wish.
How to Take Part
If your child would like to be involved, please complete the online form. Please also confirm with your child’s teacher that you have applied. The deadline for entries is 5.00pm on Friday 6th February 2026.
Each concert is limited to 20 performers, and the form will close automatically once the limit is reached. If the limit is exceeded before the form closes, we will contact you if your child has not secured a place.
